Sitting across the street from the historic State House, The Annapolis Pottery is the only working pottery in the heart of the historic district. Established in 1969, the shop is a must on the visitor's itinerary of "Things to do in Annapolis". Here children (and parents, too!) watch potters creating a wide variety of pieces - from mouse banks to bird feeders, from large serving bowls to favorite mugs, all in durable stoneware. Owners Bill and Genevieve McWilliams and their talented staff take great pride in their work and enjoy the "show and tell" aspects of having their studio open to visitors as an extension of the gallery.
In addition to the pottery created on the premises we represent award-winning artists all across the country. Gas, electric, wood and salt firings, slab, hand-built and thrown work - virtually all ceramic techniques can be found displayed in our bright and energized space. |
